Motor City Video is coming to Detroit in October 2027

Motor City Video: The Annual Detroit VHS Fest is a new convention in Detroit celebrating VHS and video store culture, coming October 2027.

What to expect

At the heart of the fest is a major vendor marketplace for VHS tapes and other physical media: horror, cult, sci-fi, exploitation, animation, music, wrestling and other collectible video.

Plans also include special guests, filmmakers and VHS labels, screenings and panels on the history and culture of physical video, and video store memorabilia and retro installations.

Motor City Video is being built as a national event for collectors, dealers, labels, filmmakers and fans from around the country, not just a local tape swap.

What happens next

The venue and the exact date will be announced here once they are confirmed. Vendors, labels, filmmakers, sponsors and press can get in touch now.
